In my totally biased opinion. I think Belichick made the decision he thought was best for his team, and he hasn't been wrong about this stuff yet. I think Brady's skills have faded, although I do expect him to have a good year. He's best with a chip on his shoulder. Gronk is a big unknown, I love this guy but not sure what to expect from him this year, or even if he can stay healthy all year.
I think Belichick will have an amazing defense, with an old fashion ball control offense. Jarrett Stidham is their projected starting QB, a second year fourth round pick from Auburn. He has talent, the question is can he produce on the field. He looked good in the 2019 preseason. The only thing I remember about him in the regular season is him throwing a pick six late against the Jets which cost me what looked like a sure cover. Patriots were covering by two TD's in the 4th. First they fumble a punt which was returned for a TD and then the pick six. The defense had given up 100 yards and 6 first downs, the Jets never converted on 3rd down, yet the Jets score the last 14 points.
Back to the bet, I like the Patriots over 8.5 wins (the last total I saw). I'm not sure how good the Bucs might be. The Patriots can win 10 or 11 games and lose the bet vs the Bucs
